5 Quick Ways To Express Gratitude

Gratitude has a strong link to mental wellbeing. It makes us self-centered, increases self-esteem and energy levels. It even improves sleep. When I first started my personal growth journey, I wasn’t aware of many effective ways to express gratitude.

Everything you do is a prompt to be grateful for. It may not feel like that but think about it, regardless of how bad you think you have it, it’s never as bad as you think. Expressing gratitude, even in rough times, allows you to open your heart for further great things.

5 Quick Ways To Express Gratitude

Everyone has their own unique ways of expressing gratitude. Below, are some simple ways you can try to practice gratitude daily.

Keep a gratitude journal

My mindset journal is my number one key to keeping me on track – especially when I’m manifesting something specific. Simply write a list of NO LESS THAN 30 things that you are grateful for every day. I usually make a list in the morning and before bed. The more you do this the easier it becomes. Twice a day, consistently, will help you stay present and aware of everything you have in your life.

The Morning Five

This is a perfect on the go solution to keep you grounded. Open your notes app and write down the first 5 things you are grateful for. Do this 4 times a day and don’t think too much into it, just write! At the end of the week, look back at what you have documented and reflect on how the little things bring good to your life.

Spread appreciation

I love writing letters and cards! There’s nothing better than showing gratitude to the people you love by spending the time to write them a handwritten note. It doesn’t have to be elaborate, just something to show them that you appreciate them. Show them that you are thankful for everything they have done for you. Plus, who doesn’t like a nice card or letter being sent to you?!

Celebrate your daily wins

It is so important to look at all the things you have achieved in your day and celebrate them. Be proud of what you have achieved. To me, shower time is the best time to truly reflect on my day. It’s a time when you’re alone with your thoughts. Think about the parts of your day that were successful and focus on these feelings.

Meditation

Meditation is a great way of connecting with your present self and reflect on everything that is going on in your life. Start off with 5 minutes a day and then develop into as much time as you want. There’s some great apps to help get you started like; Mind and Headspace.
